Free School Sports Physicals Offered July 20 at St. Joseph Medical Center in The Heights
HOUSTON (June 12, 2019) – Most sports programs in Houston-area schools require a physical exam to determine if the student athlete is able to participate safely in a chosen sport and other extracurricular activities.
To help parents get their students ready, Robert Horry Sports Medicine at St. Joseph Medical Center is offering free physicals on Saturday, July 20 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Primary care and orthopedic physicians on the St. Joseph medical staff will check the athlete's vitals, vision, joints and flexibility as a part of the physical assessment.
Each student must bring a completed copy of their school’s physical evaluation form and the student’s prescription for eye glasses or contacts if applicable.
The sports physical exams will take place at St. Joseph Medical Center in the Heights at 1917 Ashland St. Free parking is available.
